Project school students and teachers from İnegöl Şehit Fevzi Başaran Anatolian Imam Hatip High School paid a meaningful visit to get to know our university closely. As students of one of the distinguished schools, prominent for its academic success, the students of İnegöl Şehit Fevzi Başaran Anatolian Imam Hatip High School gained comprehensive information about university life, academic opportunities, and career planning.
As part of the program organized at our university, events were held at the Aşık Paşa Conference Hall to introduce both our university and our faculty. In his opening speech, school principal Mahmut Alpir emphasized that such visits are of great importance for students to shape their future goals and expressed his gratitude to the university administration.
Following the program, the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koçak, took the floor and gave a detailed presentation on the academic structure, departments, educational philosophy, and opportunities offered by our faculty. Prof. Dr. Koçak stated that students are equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with application-based education, and provided information about the projects, academic studies, and internship opportunities provided to students in our faculty. Additionally, he touched upon the importance of students considering their interests and competencies during the university preference process, emphasizing the decisive role of making informed choices in their career journeys.
Afterward, our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Çelik delivered his speech. Prof. Dr. Çelik addressed the concept of university from a multifaceted perspective, stating that universities are not only institutions that transfer knowledge but also important structures that support an individual's intellectual and personal development. Touching upon the cultural, social, and academic opportunities of studying at a university in Istanbul, Çelik stated that our university aims to offer these riches to its students in the best possible way. Sharing comprehensive information about our university's vision, research opportunities, internationalization goals, and support mechanisms provided to students, Çelik gave advice to students on setting goals, disciplined work, and continuous self-improvement.
The program, which drew great interest from the students, continued interactively with a Q&A session. The event proceeded with a visit to the North Campus following the program.
