Within the scope of the project hosted by Istanbul Medeniyet University Art History Club and entitled to be supported at the national level within the scope of ÜNİDES (University Communities Support Program) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the “International Culture Festival” was held at our University. The event was held on May 9, 2025 in the South Campus Green Area under the leadership of the Art History Club and with the support of 30 different student clubs, including clubs from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University.
As part of the festival that brings together different cultures, cultural stands belonging to 13 countries from Mexico, Italy, Iran, Japan, Hungary, India, Korea, Brazil, France, the Balkans and the Turkic World were set up. At each stand, traditional costumes of the countries were exhibited, original tastes were offered and workshops identified with that culture were organized.
During the event, which was held with the support of the Indian Consulate and various sponsoring companies, hot meals from different countries were prepared and served to visitors. In addition, social and traditional game areas such as chess and archery were offered to visitors during the festival, and participants experienced the rhythm of different geographies with shows staged by our University Dance Club and Folk Dance Club and musical performances that lasted throughout the day. The event ended with a concert at the end of the day.
